  Introduction

Congratulations on downloading Accelerated Learning, and thank you for doing so.

The following chapters will discuss Accelerated learning in detail. Along with chapters that give a brief explanation on memory and training methods that will help to increase the speed in which we acquire and understand information. There is also a detailed chapter that gives the reader a better explanation on speed reading, along with training methods that help you increase your reading speed efficiently.

Accelerated learning is not a new technique. It is used by ancient Greeks and Romans to learn abundant knowledge. Gautam Buddha is a pioneer in speed reading, and ancient Greek philosophers used techniques like Method of Loci to remember epics like the Iliad and Homer. This book helps you learn about speed reading and memory techniques with engaging exercises that can entertain you all the way while you are reading.

In today's world, we need to be quick and outsmart everyone with the skills to be a successful person. To outsmart everyone, we need to possess great knowledge and techniques that can help us utilize this knowledge. Accelerated learning methods are one of those great gifts one can accomplish to lead a great life when compared with others.

This book explains speed reading along with a lot of training methods that will help us to master innumerable knowledge in a short amount of time. We will also learn about Association the greatest skill that people have used for many years with a lot of examples. First of all, to master accelerated learning, you need to make your senses straight and be confident while reading and following any techniques and training methods. Always try to follow and repeat examples on your own to get good results in the process.

There are plenty of books on this subject on the market, thanks again for choosing this one! Every effort was made to ensure it is full of as much useful information as possible. Please enjoy!

Chapter 1: Introduction to Accelerated Learning

In this information age, we have to keep learning, in order to master fast and effective learning methods to acquire the skill. It's very important for future endeavors. Even now, people have a lot to absorb, and test scores are determined by our ability to absorb and remember knowledge. So, the accelerated learning methods discussed in this book are very useful for all of us now and in the future.

To understand the accelerated learning method, we need to learn a few things in detail for a better understanding of the method of learning. So, first of all, what is accelerated learning?

  What Is Accelerated Learning

Accelerated learning is a modern method of learning where advanced learning methods like Speed Reading and Memory training methods like Association are used in combination to increase the learning content by leaps and bounds.

Accelerated learning is best summarized by a few important points or procedures which are explained in a while in this chapter. Accelerated learning initiates its method by making the brain to transform into a state that is well known for concentration (we describe few exercises in the later chapters to easily get yourself into a concentration state for better productivity) and then we try to get the information using different methods the information is searched from abundant knowledge you have in your mind which then triggers your senses and helps to exhibit what you know in a well-presented way.

We will explain this process in detail with a step by step procedure. Note that this is just an introduction to the innumerable knowledge we will learn in the later chapters. So please relax and try to understand them without overwhelming. Below we explain things that are needed to excel in accelerated learning. This just serves as a gist for the upcoming chapters, which in detail will explain the accelerated learning methods.

  Right State of Mind

  1. You need to have determination and confidence: having no confidence in one's ability and determination is the biggest obstacle to getting the job done.

  2. Relaxed mood: on the contrary, when you are bored and stressed, your ability to learn will decrease. Whereas working after a relaxed session is much better when compared to working without breaks. Pomodoro technique uses this method to increase your productivity.

  3. Have a learning goal: you have to stick to certain prefixed goals to get a learning motivation while doing things.

  Gain Information

With a positive mental state, you need to have learning that suits your Method of acquiring information.

There are three general approaches to learning:

  1. Auditory: to acquire knowledge by hearing with both ears (as in a lecture).

  2. Visual: teading written material (such as books or publications) or seeing various types of images (such as seeing a Picture, film, presentation, video on a blackboard to gain knowledge).

  3. Kinesthetic
: to acquire knowledge by physical Labor (as by taking notes, writing summaries, or making study maps).

According to the study, the average person can use all three methods, but most people prefer one or two of them. However, the most effective method is the combination of three because it will have a full benefit.

Here are some examples of how to make the most of these three approaches:

In class, you actively listen to the teacher and read what the teacher has written on the blackboard due to the teacher's reflection. You also start recording what you hear and see in class. At home, you read books and browse the Internet with your eyes, transcribe information by hand, take notes, draw a learning map, and read the material to yourself.

There is a reason why these three methods work best when combined. Teachers in our childhood always tried to say that we should learn by heart all the material. But learning by heart doesn't work well because our brain receives signals from all parts of the body and uniquely analyzes them. Signals received by the brain are sent to different parts of the brain. So, to activate most of the brain's potential, we need to combine learning methods for better performance.

  How heavy should it be?

There are no definitive answers here. The most effective approach is the one that is most comfortable and natural for your way of learning. For example, if you are an active person, it will be difficult for you to settle down and listen, so you need to try your best to not lose your concentration. Use Vision and Kinesthesia to learn. On the contrary, if you are a patient listener, you can rely only on Hearing and absorb a lot of knowledge.

  Search for the Information

This Represents the search for information. This step is important because you must first understand the meaning of knowledge you are trying to acquire. Memorization, on the other hand, doesn't work well if you memorize something that you don't understand. To effectively explore the meaning of learning content, you should make full use of multiple intelligences as below.

  1. Linguistic intelligence (reading, writing, verbal communication): the ability to translate knowledge into one's own words. For example, Summary of paragraphs.

  2. Logical mathematical intelligence (reasoning, calculation, analysis): often involves the following questions to the data.

  - What are the assumptions?

  - What is the Evidence?

  - Any examples to prove this?

  - Is the opinion reasonable?

  - Is this a unique insight?

  3. Visual spatial intelligence (thinking in pictures): making mind maps with the information they have acquired can increase this ability.

  4. Musical intelligence (musical performance, composition, enjoyment): research has shown that classical music can affect your mood and will enhance how your brain sends out the right electrical signals to help you focus and remember information.

  5. Kinesthetic intelligence (using body movements to solve problems, to create and express): activities like role-play, taking notes, making strings comes under this section. In addition to that, other tasks such as introduction cards are useful for learning.

  6. Interpersonal Intelligence (working with others, understanding others): working with others (such as parents, classmates, teachers) by discussing what you have learned will test your own understanding and will help you learn from the opinions of others.

  7. Introspective Intelligence (self-understanding, self-reflection, self-examination, self-goal-setting):

Try to think about the content in an emotion. For example, will you empathize the peasants for starting the French revolution due to droughts?

Always ask yourself what is the point and pleasure of learning a subject, and find answers to these questions.

Keep a study journal. Keep track of your achievements, goals, and progress.

Using multiple intelligences to explore learning content can give full play to our left and right brain functions.

  Activate Accelerated Learning

Here are some tips to help you remember the knowledge you are acquiring.

  1. Have the determination and do a systematic review

  2. Divide your study or review time into 20-minute chunks (this is the amount of time most people can focus on). There should be a two-or three-minute break between segments.

  3. Connect the material you need to remember with something strange, funny, or even vulgar.

  4. Information is easier to remember after it has been sorted and organized. So, try to organize your information in a well-sorted way.

  5. Visualize something "abstract" for better memory. Abstract things become "real" and easy to remember.

  6. Use Association to recognize and remember a lot of information in a storytelling method.

  7. Relate what you want to learn to what you have learned already, such as finding cause and effect, similarities and differences, continuity, etc. (for example, there are common reasons for the rise and fall of each dynasty. Try to use them to remember about these dynasties)

  8. Get plenty of sleep at night:

Scientific Research suggests that we get into "rapid eye movement" when we are sound asleep at night Period.". During this time, our brains will continue to function, organizing, and archiving what you have learned and remembered during the day. In a way that when we get up, we'll remember more clearly what we learned the day before yesterday. So, always try to have a good sleep.

  9. Use Your vision, hearing, and kinesthetic skills to review (see, hear, speak, and do). You can use multiple senses to remember. In this way, learning efficiency is naturally improved.

  10. Flash Memory Method. First, learn the content to create a map or a simple note presentation. After a few minutes of reading, draw a map from memory, or write down notes. Look at this Mind Map to tailor your information with better persistence.

  11. Overall learning: when you are reading a book, it is best to read the title and subtopic first followed by the summary of every chapter given.

  Exhibit Learning

This is a stage where you need to prove that you understand what you are learning. You can also test it yourself and use it in practice sessions by following methods.

  Self-testing

A common method is to draw a mind map and read the content to yourself in your own words.

  Listen

Record the information you are trying to convey using a recorder and listen to it to understand the perception.

  Practical application

Preferably within 24 hours of learning, in the form of exercises or exercises or by sharing what you know with others (such as teachers, classmates).

  Reflecting Knowledge for Real-Life Problems

Reflecting on your own learning process is an important stage for accelerated learning. When you follow the five steps above, in order to achieve your grades, you need to reflect on and review your learning methods and ask if your learning methods are good.

In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that there is no one way to learn that is right for everyone. Each person's experience, personality, thoughts, Test Habits, and abilities are different.

In this chapter, we have learned about accelerated learning and its requirements in a detailed way. This is just an introductory layman explanation for beginners, and we will revisit everything mentioned above in the next chapters. Always remember to stay motivated before starting any exercise. By using speed reading and different memory learning methods, you can excel in daily life activities along with academic and work purposes. So why are you waiting? Let us dive into a world of great knowledge.

  Chapter 2: Speed Reading

This chapter explains about speed reading in detail with a few training methods that will help you increase your reading capabilities.

  Reading and the Brain

Humans learn by reading and analyzing them to become a master at it. Reading is a high-level function of the human brain. The brain is composed of the Medulla, cerebellum, Midbrain, cortex, and Medulla. The spinal cor
d is a hollow organ from the neck down through the center of the clavicle to the base of the back of the heart tube. It's filled with brain crest fluid. The brain's control of the body is conveyed by the spinal cord; the pleasure of the various parts of the body is also returned to the brain and chest through the spinal cord.

The brain has a complex network of nerves at the far end of the Medulla. It is important to maintain awareness and control and to filter the information passed on by the sense. Such as When these rigid structures are separated from the rest of the brain, the organism goes to sleep.

In pursuit of knowledge and continuous improvement, we must browse a large number of books and periodicals in our youth to broaden our knowledge. At the same time, efforts must be made to participate in social practice and actively exchange ideas with the academic community to develop wisdom and strength.

  What Is Speed Reading?

Speed Reading is a group of techniques that people use to increase the overall reading speed and altogether increasing the number of books that will be learned in a significant time. Speed Reading is being practiced extensively by scholars and a lot of students to improve their processing and analytical speeds, along with a clear understanding of the topic.
